11/13/2018 - I used the throwing wheel today. I got both pieces centered well but when i tried to pull them up they both kind of got decapitated. The first i tried to push back down and the top of the material just came off with my hand. The second was going better but it was eventually getting pretty thin and i accidentally just pulled it off the plate with my finger pressing against the bottom. I just need more practice.

5/2/2019 - This week my bust finally got finished and I really like the way that it turned out, I really like the glaze i chose a lot. My rectangular plate didnt really work out. It got too dry, so it was hard to add new parts to it, and because I added a huge hole to it, there was really no fixing that once it was dry. I got kind of bored with the rectangular idea and i put it in the slop bucket, rolled a new slab, and ive made a triangular plate. Im keeping with the same concept but not using the exact same construction method. I let this plate set out to dry so hopefully it will become more leather hard over the weekend.

4/25/19 - this week i finished up my set of four and started on my dinner place setting. For the dinner plate i was going to do a rectangle shape and i traced it out to the right size but the clay is too thick. I hope that it will be moist enough to keep flattening. For the four plates I put on a few good coats of transparent gloss glaze over the underglaze and i hope that they turn out good.
